About The Position

Wider Circle is seeking a Texas-licensed physician to serve as a consulting clinician for an early-stage care program. This role involves conducting initial virtual visits with members to assess their medical needs, barriers to care, and health goals. The physician will establish a clinical plan and care priorities, then collaborate with a dedicated care team (Community Health Workers, Licensed Clinical Social Workers) for ongoing support and continuity of care. This position is ideal for physicians interested in innovative care delivery, telehealth, and population health models, offering a focus on clinical guidance rather than longitudinal case management. The role also involves providing clinical insight to refine program workflows during the pilot phase and supporting a patient-centered approach that addresses both social and medical needs.

Requirements

MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Texas license
Board certified or board eligible (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related primary care specialty preferred)
Comfort working with Medicare, Medicaid, or complex populations
Strong communication skills and ability to build trust quickly in a virtual setting
Interest in care coordination, health navigation, or whole-person care models
Comfort working in a startup-like, evolving program environment
