About The Position

CareTalk Health is a fully remote, nationwide virtual medical practice that partners with Medicare Advantage plans to provide Annual Wellness Visits and close care gaps. The organization is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners to deliver comprehensive virtual care, particularly clinicians licensed in multiple states and those with full practice authority in several states.

The Nurse Practitioner provides care by phone or video and is supported by scheduling staff, nurses, technology, and training. This is a remote U.S.-based role; all work must be performed physically within the United States, and international work is not permitted during scheduled work hours. The position requires a home office with reliable internet and a secure, private workspace. The clinician may be on camera at any time.

The schedule requires a minimum of 16 hours per week. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET, and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET. Paid, facilitated live training is provided before seeing patients, for 9 to 12 hours at $60 per hour.

Required equipment includes a Windows or Apple computer (at least Windows 10 or macOS 14 Sonoma), an Intel Core i5 or equivalent processor for Windows or Apple Silicon for Macs, 16 GB RAM, wired headphones, a webcam, and an Ethernet connection from the computer to the router. Internet service must meet minimum speeds of 100 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload. Google Chrome with Amazon Workspaces is required. A second monitor is highly suggested for laptop users, and dual monitors are suggested for PC users.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in multiple states.
• Proven experience providing patient care in a virtual or telehealth clinic environment.
• Experience in preventive and/or primary care.
• Comfort conducting both phone and video visits.
• Fluency with EHRs.
• Strong documentation and patient communication skills.
• Strong digital fluency and ability to navigate multiple systems.
• Must perform all work physically within the United States; international work is not permitted during scheduled work hours.
• Must have a home office with reliable internet connectivity and a secure, private workspace.
• Must use a Windows or Apple computer, not a Chromebook, Linux machine, or smartphone; operating system must be at least Windows 10 or macOS 14 Sonoma.
• Must have an Intel Core i5 or AMD equivalent processor on Windows, or Apple Silicon on a Mac, and 16 GB RAM.
• Wired headphones are required; built-in microphones are not accepted.
• Internet must provide at least 100 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload, with an Ethernet cable connecting the computer directly to the router.
• Must use Google Chrome with Amazon Workspaces.
• A webcam is required for video calls; an external webcam is needed if the computer does not have one.
• Minimum commitment of 16 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Annual Wellness Visits and E/M follow-up visits by phone or video.
• Manage chronic conditions, review medications, and prescribe when clinically appropriate.
• Write orders for indicated screenings and review returned results for care initiated by the clinician.
• Close care gaps and build rapport with Medicare patients.
• Document every encounter accurately in SOAP format.
