About The Position

The Preoperative Assessment Clinic within Perioperative Services supports patients scheduled for surgical and procedural care across multiple MUSC Health locations. The clinic plays a critical role in early risk identification, patient preparedness, and prevention of day-of-surgery delays and cancellations. Telehealth Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supports preoperative care delivery through structured, protocol-driven telehealth workflows. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Telehealth LPN performs standardized patient outreach, data collection, education reinforcement, and task coordination to ensure patients are prepared for surgery and appropriately routed for further clinical review when indicated. This role is designed to improve access, efficiency, and consistency in preoperative workflows while allowing RNs to focus on higher-acuity clinical decision-making.
