The Preoperative Assessment Clinic (PAC) within Perioperative Services supports patients scheduled for surgical and procedural care across multiple MUSC Health locations. A key function of the clinic is ensuring patients are prepared, informed, and appropriately cleared prior to the day of surgery to prevent delays, cancellations, and safety risks. The Arrival Call Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supports surgical readiness by completing standardized preoperative arrival calls. Working under established protocols, this role confirms patient understanding of arrival logistics, reinforces Preoperative Assessment Clinic instructions, identifies potential issues, and escalates concerns to the appropriate surgical or anesthesia teams as needed. This position is focused on execution, accuracy, and proactive communication and plays a critical role in supporting smooth day-of-surgery operations.
