About The Position
Outsource is seeking 3 Telecommunications Technicians (Tech Level 2) for a 6-month Contract-to-Hire opportunity. This is a great opportunity for experienced cable technicians looking for a long-term position with the potential to transition to a full-time role.
Requirements
- Experience installing and testing Cat6A and/or fiber optic cable
- Previous telecommunications or structured cabling experience
- Ability to read and follow cable plans, drawings, and specifications
- Comfortable working on a military installation
- Reliable transportation and ability to report consistently to the job site
- Ability to pass the required Vandenberg SFB badging/background process
- Tech Level 2 experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat6A copper cabling
- Install and test fiber optic cable
- Perform cable pulls, routing, labeling, and termination
- Conduct cable testing and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Perform general telecommunications and communications infrastructure work
- Follow project specifications, safety requirements, and site procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
