About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Superintendent to join our team for a large-scale fiber to the home deployment project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day field operations, developing project plans, and monitoring performance. Recognized as an expert, they will anticipate client needs and provide solutions, sharing expertise and mentoring colleagues. Requirements

• Three or more years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent.
• Experience in aerial fiber construction is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices.
• Effective Communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors.
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Military experience equivalent to 12N Horizontal Construction Engineer and/or 12H Construction Engineering Supervisor.
• All applicants must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversee incident investigations.
• Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to project schedules.
• Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects.
• Maintain working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project.
• Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations.
• Set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents.
