About The Position

Position Summary: Answers and directs calls coming in on main lines, to provide information to callers regarding programs and services and to page staff using the intercom and beepers.
Requirements
- Equivalent to graduation from high school
- Six (6) months of experience in the operation of a switchboard/telecommunications system
- One (1) year of recent documented PBX Operator experience and/or high call volume phone management in a hospital setting
- Experience working with inter-disciplinary departments in a hospital setting
- Recent documented experience (within the last 5 years) using paging systems, radios or beepers
- Recent documented experience answering the hearing-impaired line
- Demonstrates flexibility with work schedule changes
