The Telecommunications Operator implements procedures for processing codes and traumas quickly and accurately. This role involves monitoring various alarm systems, answering and processing a high volume of calls, transferring callers, taking accurate messages, operating specialized computer systems/consoles, dispatching personnel via radio or paging systems, and delivering pages to physicians and other employees. The operator must be familiar with HICS and able to function during emergency situations, participate in training new employees, conduct overhead pages, and maintain flexibility in their work schedule to support the department's 24/7 operations. This position requires maintaining regular attendance and compliance with all company policies and procedures.
