  • Ability to understand meanings of words and ideas associated with them and to use them effectively.
  • Must pass a thorough criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all incoming emergency and non-emergency calls through telephone and the E9-1-1 system.
  • Answer forwarded lines from Public Utilities and Public Works after hours.
  • Address citizens' requests and coordinate with necessary crews to provide timely assistance.
  • Maintain constant radio communication with emergency service personnel.
  • Maintain police reports and document major offenses and property thefts.
  • Conduct specialized data entry into secured computerized frameworks.
