About The Position

In this role, you will serve as a technical mentor who guides and supports the work of the Service Area field team while still performing hands on tasks yourself. You will support the physical and logical integration of fiber and IP based circuits and direct the technical work needed to move legacy copper (TDM) systems to modern fiber and IP networks across the National Airspace System (NAS). The location for this role will be in the Los Angeles or Seattle area. The selected candidate will be assigned to an FAA specific locaton as a "home base" to work from and will travel througout the region to support multiple locations. Travel may be short or long distance and expenses will be reimbursed. Candidates must undergo the FAA suitability process and may be able to support the contract for a short time while suitability is processed. These are long term assignments.

  • Experience leading the technical integration side of multi-million-dollar infrastructure initiatives; ability to apply project management methodologies to ensure delivery, compliance, and mission alignment.
  • Working knowledge of cloud networking across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support hybrid NAS environments.
  • Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE).
  • AWS Solutions Architect – Associate
  • INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional ASEP
  • PMP certification
  • Familiarity with FAA BNATCS protocols or similar mission-critical government network standards

Responsibilities
