Connectivity Point is seeking a full-time Telecommunications Installation Technician to join their Operations division in South Carolina. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • People person comfortable interacting with customers and team members.
  • Enjoys hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working on ladders and scissor lifts.
  • Ability to work occasional on-call times at night or on weekends.
  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Good decision-making skills, very organized and detail-oriented.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in low voltage cabling and limited low energy work.
  • Knowledge of electrical theory, computer networking, building construction.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain systems for connectivity, including copper wire, fiber optics, wireless networks, category cabling, sound masking, and IDF and MDF closet work.
  • Troubleshoot, identify, escalate, and resolve structured cabling problems for customers.
  • Complete all phases of project installation.
  • Provide exceptional customer support during field visits or dispatches.
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
  • Perform services at customer facilities.
