Connectivity Point is seeking a full-time Telecommunications Installation Technician to join their Operations division in South Carolina. Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- People person comfortable interacting with customers and team members.
- Enjoys hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working on ladders and scissor lifts.
- Ability to work occasional on-call times at night or on weekends.
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional attitude.
- Good decision-making skills, very organized and detail-oriented.
- Valid driver's license.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in low voltage cabling and limited low energy work.
- Knowledge of electrical theory, computer networking, building construction.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain systems for connectivity, including copper wire, fiber optics, wireless networks, category cabling, sound masking, and IDF and MDF closet work.
- Troubleshoot, identify, escalate, and resolve structured cabling problems for customers.
- Complete all phases of project installation.
- Provide exceptional customer support during field visits or dispatches.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
- Perform services at customer facilities.
