About The Position

ICF is actively recruiting for an experienced Telecommunications Infrastructure Analyst to join their team on-site in Dahlgren, VA. This essential role will support the U.S. Department of Defense’s mission assurance, defense critical infrastructure, and related security and resilience programs. The position involves assessing available critical infrastructure in an area of concern, analyzing threats, assessing impacts to customers if disrupted, damaged, or destroyed, and seeking options to protect infrastructure from physical and cyber-attacks, natural disasters, and other risks. The analyst may also be asked to dig deeper into emerging threats and to conduct field assessments. Work is mostly on-site with potential for some remote work.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in related work experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in areas such as: Operation all forms of telecommunications, data centers, etc.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in areas such as: Engineering, design, and planning of infrastructure systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in areas such as: Resource planning and analysis.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in areas such as: Researching public and secure databases.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in areas such as: Applying sector-specific modeling tools.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in areas such as: Use of GIS software in analysis.
  • US Citizenship (due to client requirements).
  • Active, in-scope US Government-issued Security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mission assurance, homeland security, infrastructure protection, or related safety and security policies.
  • 5+ years of professional experience, including recent experience in a cleared environment.
  • DoD experience (civilian or military).
  • High-level security clearance.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills with a focus on timely completion and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to adjust work pace to match client priorities and competing demands, especially for quick turn needs.

Responsibilities

  • Use technical expertise to understand the systems and operations of specific critical infrastructure sectors –specifically telecommunications and possibly electricity.
  • Analyze various aspects of civilian and military utilities and other infrastructure to determine resilience.
  • Collaborate with teammates on infrastructure analyses.
  • Document analyses with high attention to detail.
  • Respond to quick-turn tasks and complete detailed analyses.
  • Assess available critical infrastructure in an area of concern.
  • Analyze threats.
  • Assess impacts to customers if disrupted, damaged, or destroyed.
  • Seek options to protect infrastructure from physical and cyber-attacks, natural disasters, and other risks.
  • Dig deeper into emerging threats.
  • Conduct field assessments.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
