About The Position

Netmaker Communications, LLC (NMC) seeks a senior telecommunications engineer to support Ribbon Federal Edge deployment, SIP interconnection engineering, and E-911 call routing support associated with Army Voice Modernization. This role supports mission-critical emergency communications integration between VMOD systems, DISA VISP, and Army PSAP environments. NMC is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) headquartered in Winchester, Virginia where we own and operate a NG9-1-1 Interoperability Test Laboratory.

Requirements

• 10+ years telecommunications engineering experience
• 5+ years VoIP / SIP engineering
• Experience with Ribbon Communications / Sonus / Genband
• Experience with Session Border Controllers
• Experience with SIP signaling and interconnects
• Experience with E-911 or PSAP integration
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain
• U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, IT or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

• DISA VISP familiarity
• Army VMOD experience
• PSAP interconnection experience
• Cisco certifications (CCNP/CCIE)
• NG 911 Public Safety Communications background/familiarity

Responsibilities

• Support deployment and integration of Ribbon Federal Edge gateways.
• Support engineering issue tracking and technical recommendations.
• Support SIP interconnection engineering and policy routing support.
• Analyze and troubleshoot E-911 call flow issues.
• Support deployment validation and readiness assessments.
• Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support connectivity among Federal Edge, VISP and Army PSAP systems.
• Assist issue resolution affecting gateway deployment and performance.
• Support technical coordination related to E-911 routing requirements.
