About The Position

iQuasar LLC is seeking a Telecommunications Engineer for a client. This is a full-time, remote position supporting federal customers. The role involves administering, programming, and troubleshooting Avaya systems and voice applications, preparing phone systems remotely before on-site hardware rollouts, and handling daily operational support. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to pass a DHS Background Investigation (T6 / High Risk Public Trust). Salary is above $60,000 per year.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship.
• Must be clearable to pass a DHS Background Investigation (T6 / High Risk Public Trust).
• Proven hands-on experience administering, programming, and troubleshooting Avaya hardware, IP Office / Aura / Communication Manager, and associated voice applications.
• Experience remotely configuring and preparing phone systems before on-site hardware rollouts.
• Experience with daily moves, adds, changes, ticket queue resolution, and carrier/vendor escalations.
• Solid understanding of physical cabling and jacks, IP addressing, networking ports and port security, and LAN/WAN fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for federal customer support.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Avaya CORE programming, system setups, or PBX consolidations.
• CCNA or CCNP certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer, program, and troubleshoot Avaya hardware, IP Office, Aura, Communication Manager, and associated voice applications.
• Configure and prepare phone systems remotely before on-site hardware rollouts.
• Handle daily moves, adds, and changes (MACD).
• Resolve items in the ticket queue and escalate issues to carriers or vendors as needed.
• Support federal customers through written and verbal communication.
