About The Position

HM Staffing is seeking an Datacenter Superintendent as part of our client's team to lead on-site construction operations across hyperscale and enterprise data center projects, managing large (20+) crews and complex technical installations. In this role, you will own field execution – driving safety, productivity, quality, and milestone delivery in high-tempo construction environments. You will partner closely with Project Managers, commissioning teams, trade partners, and client stakeholders to ensure facilities are built to spec, ready for testing, and delivered on schedule.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 5+ years in structured cabling, low-voltage, or data center infrastructure construction
  • 2+ years supervising crews on large commercial or mission-critical projects
  • OSHA 30 required
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record and ability to pass background and drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • BICSI or manufacturer certifications strongly preferred
  • Experience working on data center, hyperscale, or other critical infrastructure builds preferred
  • Familiarity with project tracking or construction software (Smartsheet, Procore, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Manage all on-site data center construction activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely project execution.
  • Drive schedules to meet commissioning, energization, and turnover milestones.
  • Coordinate labor, subcontractors, materials, and critical-path work.
  • Oversee installation of structured cabling, fiber, containment systems, grounding/bonding, and low-voltage infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with MEP trades to optimize installation sequencing and site readiness.
  • Maintain compliance with client standards, QA/QC requirements, OSHA regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Lead daily field operations, progress tracking, inspections, punch-list resolution, and turnover documentation.
  • Forecast labor, equipment, materials, and testing requirements while identifying schedule and constructability risks.
  • Support commissioning readiness and ensure installations meet testing and performance requirements.
  • Mentor field teams, promote accountability, and support workforce development and continuous improvement.
