Telecom Operator PRN
About The Position
The Telecom Operator answers multiple incoming telephone lines, gathers necessary information, and transfers calls to the appropriate extensions. The role provides information to callers as appropriate, performs overhead paging, monitors alarms located in PBX and notifies appropriate personnel, and responds quickly to disaster and emergency situations. The operator also assists with maintaining directories and on-call lists. This PRN position is with HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, Florida. The hospital is a 392-bed acute care facility and designated Level II Trauma Center, with more than 350 physicians and 1,300 staff members.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- No experience required.
- No travel required.
Responsibilities
- Answer multiple incoming telephone lines.
- Obtain necessary information and transfer calls to the correct extensions.
- Provide information to callers as appropriate.
- Perform overhead paging.
- Monitor alarms located in PBX and notify appropriate personnel.
- Respond quickly to disaster and emergency situations.
- Assist with maintaining directories and on-call lists.
