About The Position

We are seeking a Telcom Network Senior Engineer. This role works under general supervision as the engineering authority responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and sustainment of the enterprise Telecom/Collaboration architecture. The engineer will develop technical requirements, engineering specifications, and solution designs to address deficiencies, support new capabilities, and meet evolving mission needs. Responsibilities include performing engineering-level installation, configuration, and integration of new systems and devices, leading the analysis and resolution of complex technical issues, and coordinating with vendors and government representatives to ensure engineering solutions meet stakeholder needs. The role also contributes to technical strategy, budget and lifecycle planning, and provides engineering oversight.

Requirements

  • Eight (8) years of experience in electrical, electronics, or systems engineering.
  • Five (5) years directly related to design, configuration, implementation, and sustainment of the enterprise Telecom/Collaboration architecture including voice, video, and data transport systems.
  • Experience evaluating and estimating carrier‑provided voice and data WAN services, designing access and backbone networks using carrier services, and/or managing the analysis and design of wireless voice or data networks using private radio or commercial services, including familiarity with networking protocols and standard IoT protocols.
  • Must have experience with complex applications involving all phases of telecommunications network design, implementation, management, and analysis, including voice, video, and data transport systems.
  • Master’s degree in electrical, electronics, or systems engineering.
  • Or Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least ten (10) years of experience in the information systems or software engineering field.
  • At least one of the following certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Collaboration, CompTIA CASP+.
  • Top Secret – IT-I Critical Sensitive Tier 5 clearance.
  • U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

  • Works under general supervision as the engineering authority responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and sustainment of the enterprise Telecom/Collaboration architecture.
  • Develops technical requirements, engineering specifications, and solution designs to address deficiencies, support new capabilities, and meet evolving mission needs.
  • Performs engineering‑level installation, configuration, and integration of new systems and devices, including submitting engineering change requests (ECRs), coordinating IP/port/VM allocations, and securing rack, power, and connectivity with data center personnel.
  • Leads the analysis and resolution of complex technical issues, providing Tier 3 escalation support and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security requirements, and architectural direction.
  • Coordinates with Vendor PMs, COTRs, and government technical representatives to ensure engineering solutions meet stakeholder needs and integrates with broader enterprise initiatives.
  • Contributes to short‑ and long‑term technical strategy, participates in budget and lifecycle planning, and provides engineering oversight across subordinate technical roles, maintaining the capability to perform at or above the Telecom Network Junior Engineer and VTC Lead levels when required.
