About The Position

Robinson Brothers Construction, LLC is seeking skilled Telecom/Underground Utilities Laborer/driver to join our crew. Our contracts span the Pacific Northwest and the West Coast, encompassing the western states. We are looking for talented individuals who are enthusiastic and ready to travel to various job sites. As part of your role, travel is expected and required. This is a field position, and you will be responsible for working at various sites as necessary, including locations in multiple states. Travel position - We prioritize local assignments that enable our team to return home each night, while remaining flexible and ready to pursue opportunities wherever the job market takes us.

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Possess a valid CDL.
  • Clean driving record (no more than 2 tickets in the last 5 years)
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to hand tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.
  • Willing and able to work in all weather conditions.
  • EAGER TO WORK AND WILLING TO TRAVEL

Nice To Haves

  • Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunication industry.
  • Class A CDL is REQUIRED.
  • Able to perform all duties in telecommunication construction.
  • TRAVEL IS A MUST

Responsibilities

  • Support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects.
  • Duties will include general labor duties related to telecommunications construction as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor.
  • Services may include placing poles, anchors and guys, aerial strand and cable, direct buried pipe, trenching cable, conventional and directional boring, placing underground conduit systems, performing inside wiring, cabling, and testing and maintenance services.
  • Hand dig using shovel, mechanical tools.
  • Install and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling.
  • Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Working in congested or remote areas.
  • Maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement.
  • Perform general construction work under direction of Foreman/Supervisor.
  • Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies.
  • Learn all aspects of crew and assist the operator and foreman as assigned.
  • Setup, preparation, and cleanup of construction sites.
  • Develop an understanding of buried utilities.
  • Lift heavy equipment and supplies.
