About The Position

CK Contractors and Development, LLC is seeking a Foreman for their Southern Telecom division to manage and direct telecom crews at jobsites in the Valdosta, GA and Lake City, FL areas. This exempt position involves direct supervision of telecom crews, understanding project plans and specifications, reporting to the Senior Project Manager, and ensuring the safe use and training of heavy equipment. The role requires knowledge of telecom utility work, including excavation, directional boring, cable plowing, aerial specifications, and splicing. The Foreman will inspect work sites for quality, accuracy, and safety concerns, monitor crew organization and compliance, and complete various daily/weekly reports. A key aspect of the role is monitoring operations to ensure health and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

Directly supervises the telecom crews.
Read and understand project plans and specification.
Reports on work to Senior Project Manager.
Knowledge and/or experience on all types of heavy equipment to ensure safe use of equipment and training.
Knowledgeable in the areas of telecom utility, including excavation, directional boring, cable plowing, aerial specifications and splicing.
Inspects work sites throughout construction process to ensure the quality and accuracy of work for potential hazards or safety concerns.
Monitors crews for organizational structure, sizing, crew mix ratios, and wage compliance in conjunction with Superintendent.
Complete required reports (production, personnel time and attendance, vehicle, safety, inspection) on a daily/weekly basis as required.
Monitor operations to ensure that health and safety standards are met.
Monitors the implementation of safety programs and processes; Provides coaching for improvement.
