About The Position
We are looking for an experienced Fiber Splicer who can hit the ground running and manage day-to-day splicing work with confidence and accuracy. This role requires regular travel across multiple cities in Michigan and a strong working knowledge of fiber construction, troubleshooting, and testing.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fiber Splicer in telecom construction
- Ability to splice, test, and troubleshoot independently
- Strong understanding of fiber networks, equipment, and safety standards
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varying field conditions
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage daily workload without oversight
Responsibilities
- Perform fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting on active and passive networks
- Complete day-to-day splicing tasks with minimal supervision
- Read and interpret fiber plans, splice documents, and network diagrams
- Use OTDR, power meters, and other testing equipment to verify quality
- Work in outdoor, underground, and aerial environments as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation, labeling, and project records
- Communicate effectively with project managers, field crews, and clients
- Travel to job sites across Michigan (company-paid travel)
