About The Position

We are seeking a Telecom Engineer to join our team at Independent Living Systems (ILS). ILS, along with its affiliated health plans known as Florida Community Care and Florida Complete Care, is committed to promoting a higher quality of life and maximizing independence for all vulnerable populations.

About the Role:

As a Telecom Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex telecommunications systems that meet the needs of our organization. You will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that our telecommunications infrastructure is reliable, secure, and efficient. Your work will directly impact the quality of care that we provide to our members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing telecommunications systems
• 1-2 years of System experience on Ring Central platforms.
• Technical experience with Voice/Messaging Center protocols on Sangoma and Ring Central.
• Strong knowledge of Signaling protocols: MGCP, SIP, H.323, digital PRI/T1/E1, E&M media resources, Dial peer and SRST configurations.
• Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
• Experience in the Health Care Services industry
• Experience with VoIP and unified communications systems
• Experience with cloud-based telecommunications systems
• Experience with project management
• Active Genesys or Ring Central certification

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex telecommunications systems that meet the needs of our organization
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing telecommunications infrastructure
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that our telecommunications systems are reliable, secure, and efficient
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the telecommunications industry
• Provide technical support to end-users as needed
