Teen Tech Center Retail Intern
About The Position
As a Teen Tech Center Retail Intern, you'll gain professional, technological and customer service skills in a fast-paced, hands-on and fun environment. This is an exclusive summer internship for Best Buy Teen Tech Center members only. During this ten-week paid program, you will rotate through multiple departments of a Best Buy store. Mid-way through the program, you will have the opportunity to select your preferred store department to work in for the remainder of the internship. You will receive coaching, mentorship and guidance from your store leaders and colleagues while learning the behind-the-scenes systems, techniques and skills that Best Buy Blue Shirts use.
Requirements
- Must be a current member of a Best Buy Teen Tech Center
Responsibilities
- Complete rotations through each department of the store
- Support the front of store including registers, store pickup, customer service and back office
- Work in the warehouse including store pickup, carry-out, unloading truck shipments and merchandising
- Work in sales including department maintenance, working directly with customers, completing transactions, and spending time with a vendor expert and Auto tech
- Support the Geek Squad precinct including processing certified open-box items, device intake and arranging delivery for items to and from the service center
- Work with the leadership including the general manager, manager-on-duty and sales floor leadership, understanding store management, labor and scheduling
