About The Position
The Teen Staff – Fashion Design role is designed for high school-aged club members who are passionate about fashion, creativity, and leadership. Teen Staff support program leaders in delivering engaging, hands-on fashion design activities while serving as positive role models for younger members. This is an opportunity to build leadership skills, gain work experience, and explore interests in fashion and design. This role is located at Redwood City Clubhouse in Redwood City, CA, and will report to the assigned Department Leader.
Requirements
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 for the academic year while employed with BGCP
- Attend all professional development classes
- Attend all Teen Staff training
- Work no more than the hours outlined on your work permit. If put on probation, teen staff are only allowed to work a max of 5 hours a week until they reach a GPA of 2.0

Responsibilities
- Assist staff in facilitating daily fashion design activities such as sketching, sewing, fabric selection, and styling
- Support the preparation and organization of materials, tools, and workspace
- Provide guidance and encouragement to younger members during projects
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized program environment
- Guide memorable tours for donors, families, and large groups
- Perform additional relevant duties as assigned

- Sick Time: Part-time employees accrue sick time at a rate of 1 hour for every 20 hours worked, and may use up to 40 hours per year
