About The Position

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teen Instructor to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about mentoring young people, fostering creativity, and creating a positive, inclusive environment where teens can learn, grow, and have fun.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Positions that require an employee to drive YMCA vehicles require a clean driving record.
• Certification by an approved organization in the program area being led, when required.
• Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
• Excellent human relation skills and enthusiasm.
• Basic math skills and demonstrated recordkeeping proficiency.
• An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
• Successfully complete within 60 days of hire: CPR/First Aid/O2 Certification, Bloodborne Pathogen training, Child Abuse

Nice To Haves

• One year of teaching or related experience in the program area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage, mentor, and lead the teens program participants to help them build confidence in themselves through enriching activities.
• Assist with the setup, delivery, participation, and cleanup of scheduled program activities.
• Assist with the transportation of program participants in YMCA approved vehicles to designated program locations, as directed.
