The Teen Empowerment Advisor will provide direct services to youth between the ages of 11-18. The Teen Empowerment Advisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing year-round programs for youth, preparing them for successful program completion, and providing ongoing case management services. This role involves maintaining up-to-date case management records, coordinating intake and orientation sessions with youth and parents/guardians, conducting initial assessments, and following up with youth and parents/guardians who stop attending. The advisor will monitor community services schedules and attendance logs, assist youth in completing community service hours, encourage family involvement, and conduct follow-up calls to enhance retention. Additionally, the role includes referring youth to relevant service partners, entering data into Excel tracking sheets, and recruiting new youth from local middle and high schools. The Teen Empowerment Advisor will also act as a liaison with schools and district staff, coordinate meetings with school principals, implement the Brent’s Club Program, and participate in community events to market BGCOP Programs. Other business, educational, and community outreach duties as assigned are also part of this role.
