About The Position

Holy Spirit Catholic School is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Technology Teacher for their PreK-8 school in Annandale, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a background in elementary education, possess or be eligible for Virginia certification/licensure, and be a practicing Catholic. This role involves teaching approximately 25-30 hours per week to grades 3-8, focusing on integrating technology effectively into the curriculum and supporting teachers, staff, and students in its use. The position requires an understanding of the school's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

Background in elementary education
Possess or be eligible for certification/licensure in Virginia or through the VCEA
Practicing Catholic with a devotion to our faith
Passion for technology and education
Understanding of how all the hardware, software, policies, and procedures fit together in the school's technology implementation
Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects
Solid working knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking and related technologies including: Google Chromebooks, and IPADS
Experience with educational administrative systems such as, Google for Education Apps, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Google Suite.
Knowledge of coding, 3D Printing, Robotics and STEM

Responsibilities

Works with the administration to develop ways and strategies to effectively integrate technology into the curriculum
Establishes and enforces information technology standards, procedures, and policies.
Teaching diocesan tech standards in 3-8 classrooms
