Technology Teacher - Enrichment Program

About The Position

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and talented individuals to work as Lead Instructors in our school programs. Lead instructors guide students through our world-class, project-based learning curriculum to discover new technology skills in coding, Minecraft, ROBLOX, video editing, game design, and more! This is a part-time, hourly position with paid training. The program runs for a full school year in 8-10 week sessions, with options to continue into additional seasons. We offer in-room teaching experience with excited students and no formal experience is required, though teaching experience in some capacity is highly preferred.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Completed 48 college units minimally
Reliable transportation to East Ramapo Central School District
Must be available during school hours (approximately 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM), daily Monday - Friday
Consistent attendance is REQUIRED, substitutes are not available
Must be at least 21 years of age
Significant experience working with children ages 8-14 or technology, or both.

Nice To Haves

Teaching experience in some capacity
Experience with technology
Experience with children in an educational setting
Strong technology skills, such as a background in 3D modeling, digital arts, coding, game creation or design, animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitive gaming, etc.
Significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox, including modding or streaming.

Responsibilities

Guide students through a project-based learning curriculum to discover new technology skills.
Teach skills in coding, Minecraft, ROBLOX, video editing, game design, and more.
Work with teacher-to-student ratios of 20:1 for elementary schoolers.
Transport approximately 30 lbs of equipment.
