About The Position

The Technology Teacher / Coordinator at Warrendale Charter Academy will be responsible for providing K-12 student technology instruction and ensuring the school's educational technology is operational and well-managed. This role involves approximately 90% of the time dedicated to student technology instruction and 10% to building-wide technology administration and support. The instruction aims to develop future-ready, digitally literate learners who can effectively use technology for current assignments, prepare for high school digital expectations, and explore STEM-related emerging technologies. The position also includes managing the school's educational technology and network infrastructure in partnership with NHA's IT Department, including hardware deployment, troubleshooting, managing the Clever Student Portal, and customizing online access via the Google Admin Console. Additionally, the role serves as the State Testing Technology Coordinator and may act as the Lead NWEA MAP Testing Proctor.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid teacher license or meet alternative requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience in education technologies.
  • Experience teaching K-8 technology classes using ISTE Standards.
  • Experience managing technology and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide K-12 student technology instruction.
  • Ensure educational technology at the school is operational and well-managed.
  • Manage the deployment and life-cycle of NHA-provided hardware.
  • Perform intermittent troubleshooting to hardware and network infrastructure.
  • Help students access online educational applications by managing the school’s Clever Student Portal.
  • Customize online access for students by managing Chrome settings via the Google Admin Console.
  • Act as the State Testing Technology Coordinator.
  • May be asked to act as the Lead NWEA MAP Testing Proctor.
