Responsibilities

  • Design, implementation, and security of CPI’s network and voice infrastructure.
  • Ensure high availability and performance across LAN, WAN, and VPN systems through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and strategic planning.
  • Balance day-to-day operations with the development of long-term architecture and security strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with CPI policies, regulations, procedures, and practices including all local, state, and federal laws.
  • Architect short and long-term network and security strategies to support business growth and technological evolution.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, software, and peripheral equipment for LAN, WAN, and internet systems.
  • Plan and implement robust security measures, including firewalls, encryption, and access permissions, while ensuring compliance with CPI policies and government regulations.
  • Monitor network performance and availability to provide statistics and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, or system problems, providing prompt resolution for major network interruptions.
  • Perform and validate data and voice backups and lead the planning and execution of disaster recovery operations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for internal and external clients to identify requirements and resolve technical issues.
  • Manage operational vendor relationships and research new technologies to provide procurement recommendations.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to team members and train users on system functionality.
  • Maintain accurate logs of network functions, maintenance records, and repair history.
  • Remain available for emergency call-ins, weekends, and holidays as required to support 24/7 operations.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to enable team members to complete assigned tasks.
  • Train team members and users in system use as the subject matter expert.
