About The Position

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. As a Technology Protection Analyst, you will have the opportunity to do the following: Serve as a key member of a small, tight-knit team supporting a senior executive body for technology protection-related matters. Analyze and provide recommendations on issues dealing with the full spectrum of Department of War technology protection-related issues, from research through capability deployment/employment. Coordinate with technology protection community representatives throughout all phases of development concerning requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives. Compare, analyze and evaluate the relative merits of program activities and alternatives. Apply emerging doctrine and tactics, whether detailed in formal doctrinal changes or emanating from experiments, demonstrations, or activities, into operational design, development, and deconfliction. Assess the impact of programmatic and technical options on stated user requirements, policy, and doctrine. Prepare reports and briefs, summarizing formal events and commentary, requirements, deficiencies, and investments for various programs, systems, and activities. Leverage authorized AI tools to scale technology protection analysis.

Requirements

  • Master's degree and 11-12 years of related experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance, with a willingness to submit to a CI-scope polygraph.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
  • Background in a technology protection-related field, i.e., counterintelligence, security, OPSEC, cybersecurity, etc.
  • Emerging leader with a bias for action and preference for working collaboratively on small, mission-oriented teams.
  • Demonstrable experience in and facility with problem framing and operational planning, preferably as a member of a DoW executive, CCMD, or MDCO staff.
  • Experience leveraging AI.
  • Experience in designing, maintaining, and improving applications.
  • Experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, use of AI applications, and familiarity with a relevant programming language (i.e., Python, R, Ruby, Rust, Julia, etc.).
