Position Overview Jones Lang LaSalle is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of whitespace and technology infrastructure projects across global data center environments. This role spans the Americas (AMER), Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA), and Asia Pacific (APAC) regions. As a key project leader, you will ensure consistent, high-quality project execution while acting as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders. You will drive strategic delivery, maintain strong client relationships, and support the expansion of JLL’s data center project capabilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in Technology/ICT, specifically structured cabling or data center environments.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing new project opportunities .
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex bids, tenders, and proposals.
  • Experience managing a project-level P&L .
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of technical projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the structured cabling, construction, and data center markets.
  • Understanding of PM methodologies, construction H&S legislation, and financial terminology.
  • Strong customer management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Recognized technical qualification in ICT or structured cabling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global environment with varied time zones.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted relationships.
  • High integrity with ability to challenge assumptions and drive improvement.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage large volumes of information.
  • Results-focused, innovative, and adaptable.
  • Ability to travel within North America for on-site project requirements.

  • Recognized project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 , CNIDP , CDCDP , CTPM preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across staffed and unstaffed (POP) data center sites.
  • Participate in management meetings, briefings, forums, and reporting cycles.
  • Contribute to business improvement initiatives and maintain expert knowledge of JLL’s data center strategy.
  • Lead development and management of bids, tenders, and proposals in partnership with Procurement.
  • Deliver projects on schedule, within scope, and on budget while exceeding client expectations where possible.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate all project risks (technical, commercial, H&S, regulatory).
  • Ensure compliance with both client and JLL project management standards.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and drive timely completion of H&S documentation.
  • Build strong subcontractor and supplier relationships, ensuring adherence to quality and commercial standards.
  • Manage invoicing, cash flow, and debt control (target < 60 days).
  • Deliver projects within budget while maximizing profitability through cost control and strategic procurement.
  • Implement appropriate governance to meet statutory, policy, and contractual requirements.
  • Identify and develop new value-added services and project opportunities.
  • Support long-term business growth through teamwork and a client-focused approach.
  • Serve as a credible leader and advisor, influencing project outcomes at the global client level.
  • Ensure alignment between client expectations and delivery teams.
  • Manage escalation, communication, and issue resolution.
  • Provide direct and matrixed support to account teams across multiple regions.
  • Support the Global Project Team with technical expertise.
  • Foster a collaborative and diverse working environment.
  • Take ownership of project delivery and associated financial performance.
  • Interpret and manage project scope; ensure alignment with customer commitments.
  • Engage executive leadership when needed to support delivery or introduce new opportunities.
