About The Position

As an intern with YHB’s internal Information Technology team, you will work on projects at the intersection of technology, data, business processes, and people. This is not a traditional IT internship focused only on technical support. You will help us analyze information, improve workflows, support business systems and technology projects, develop resources for employees, and find better ways to get work done. You may work with people across IT, Finance, and other areas of the firm, giving you exposure to both the technical and business sides of how technology is implemented and used in an organization.

Requirements

  • A student pursuing a degree in information technology, management information systems, data or business analytics, business, computer science, project management, or another related field.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort working with Microsoft Excel and an interest in data, reporting, technology, or process improvement.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with information and datasets.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Curiosity about how technology, data, and good processes can make an organization more effective.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and work both independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, scripting, automation tools, project management tools, or IT administration is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, organize, validate, and analyze information from technology and business systems.
  • Help create reports, dashboards, metrics, and other tools that make information easier to understand and use.
  • Summarize findings and help translate data into practical recommendations.
  • Review and document existing processes and workflows.
  • Identify manual, repetitive, or inefficient steps and explore ways to simplify or automate.
  • Assist with system implementations, enhancements, testing, and data-cleanup projects.
  • Help research solutions and evaluate how technology could improve an existing business process.
  • Support technology rollouts, system migrations, and other cross-functional projects.
  • Help coordinate project information, testing, documentation, and follow-up activities.
  • Develop procedures, user guides, training materials, and other resources that help employees adopt new technology or processes.
  • Help turn complex information into clear communications for different audiences.
  • Assist with structured cleanup and maintenance of technology records, including directories, security groups, inventories, and system data.
  • Support laptop configuration, testing, inventory, and deployment as needed.
  • Perform quality checks to help ensure technology and information are accurate and ready for use.
