About The Position

We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Manager of Software Engineering to lead the evolution of our Wealth Management platform. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can build high-performing teams, drive modern engineering practices, and accelerate delivery through AI-enabled development. You will act as a strategic bridge between business and technology, shaping scalable solutions that directly impact advisor and client experiences. Success in this role means delivering faster, building smarter, and continuously raising the bar for engineering excellence. This position follows our hybrid-friendly schedule, so you get the best of both worlds – flexibility and collaboration. In office days will be 2-3 per week averaging 10-12 days per month in our St Petersburg, FL Corporate Office.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years of managing teams.
  • Proven experience building and scaling modern applications/platforms.
  • Strong understanding of front-end, back-end and cloud technologies (e.g., Angular/React, Java, Oracle, cloud platforms).
  • Previous experience in solution architecture.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools across the SDLC to improve productivity and quality.
  • Continuous learning mindset with awareness of emerging technology capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Computer and Information Science, or High School (HS) equivalent (Required).
  • General Experience – 10 to 15 years.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Wealth Management, Investment Advisory, or Financial Planning platforms.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices.
  • Background in building user-centric platforms with strong UX/UI principles.
  • Strong prompt engineering skills and ability to validate and refine AI-generated outputs.
  • Proven ability to lead and scale AI adoption within Agile/DevOps teams, and ability to measure and demonstrate impact (velocity, cycle time, quality).

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a software engineering team focused on designing, developing, and maintaining Wealth Management applications.
  • Contribute to, and advance, the architecture and technology stack in alignment with business goals and scalability needs.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Establish engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and agile methodologies.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of the Wealth Management platform.
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships as needed.
  • Champion AI adoption across the SDLC by setting standards, demonstrating effective use cases, and coaching teams to integrate AI into requirements, design, development, and testing to improve delivery velocity and quality.
  • Lead by example in applying AI and prompt engineering to produce high-quality artifacts (user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios), establishing reusable patterns and best practices for the team.
  • Establish governance and continuous improvement practices for AI usage, ensuring accuracy, responsible use, and measurable gains in productivity, cycle time, and defect reduction.
  • Develop and mentor talent, building future leaders and strengthening engineering capabilities across the team.
