About The Position
Vanguard's Technology Leadership Program (TLP) is a premier rotational program designed to develop future technology leaders. This program offers participants the opportunity to gain broad experience across various IT functions within Vanguard's Investment Systems division. Through a series of challenging rotations, participants will build a strong foundation in technology, business acumen, and leadership skills, preparing them for impactful roles within the organization. The program emphasizes hands-on project work, continuous learning, and networking to foster professional growth and career advancement.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree with a concentration in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical/engineering discipline required.
- Experience in information technology preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete rotation objectives across various areas of the IT business, demonstrating an ability to assimilate into each area, understand the objectives of the assignments and specific departments, achieve rotation objectives, and take ownership and accountability for all projects and assignments.
- Participate in three, eight-month rotations in either Application Development or Technology Operations, rotating within one sub-division to build upon each experience.
- Apply learned skills and leverage technical knowledge to successfully meet outlined objectives in rotational assignments.
- Demonstrate accountability for issues by accepting ownership throughout the problem resolution process.
- Take ownership of personal and professional development through participation in program-initiated meetings and projects, attending all required training sessions, and creating and maintaining a personal plan to track development and accomplishments.
- Navigate the organization by securing a comprehensive network of business contacts that can be leveraged to complete assigned tasks.
- Provide high-quality service to all client inquiries, including internal and/or external clients, by providing thorough and accurate information in a timely manner.
- Utilize appropriate tools to arrange, manipulate, and present data to enable solid decision-making for the business, making recommendations based on the data when appropriate.
- Demonstrate proficiency and a thorough knowledge of Vanguard's investment methodology, policies, procedures, marketplace, and all relevant systems to complete projects as assigned.
- Participate in projects, working with various stakeholders to determine scope, gather requirements and data, recommend and implement solutions.
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, and manage business activities required to deliver project solutions with appropriate parties.
- Demonstrate leadership competencies and strengths in rotational and programmatic experiences.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
