Village Farms InternationalDelta, BC

About The Position

The Technology Lead – Integration & Agentic AI is a hands-on leader responsible for delivering reliable integrations across enterprise applications and enabling workflow automation through agentic AI. The role owns the integration delivery lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy, monitor) for interfaces between ERP and surrounding systems and partners closely with Infrastructure/Security and Data/Analytics to ensure secure, observable, and scalable patterns. This role also supports M&A technology integrations by assessing incoming environments, defining integration approaches, and executing cutovers and stabilization to accelerate value realization.

Requirements

  • 7+ years designing, building, and operating enterprise integrations across ERP and adjacent systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure integration services (Logic Apps/Functions/Service Bus/API Management) and modern API design practices.
  • Strong understanding of authentication/authorization patterns (Entra ID/OAuth2), secrets management, and secure integration architecture.
  • Experience implementing monitoring/observability and CI/CD for integration components.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business workflows into robust automation and integration solutions.
  • Ability to work on-site in Delta as required and partner closely with operational and technology stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building AI assistants/agents for enterprise workflows, including governance and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Exposure to M&A IT integration (Day-1 readiness, interim-state architectures, data migration coordination).
  • Familiarity with Acumatica ERP data structures and integration methods.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and message-based integrations.
  • Experience coordinating external vendors/consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support integrations between enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, WMS/MES, HRIS, finance, data platform) using APIs, eventing, and batch/file patterns as appropriate.
  • Own integration standards and patterns: data contracts, error handling, retry/idempotency, monitoring/alerting, logging, and runbooks.
  • Implement integration solutions using Microsoft/Azure integration services (e.g., Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, API Management) or approved iPaaS platforms.
  • Provide Tier-2/3 operational support for integrations: incident triage, root-cause analysis, and preventive improvements to reduce recurrence.
  • Partner with domain Tech Leads to translate business requirements into integration user stories with clear acceptance criteria and testing plans.
  • Ensure integrations follow enterprise security practices (least privilege, Entra ID authentication/authorization, secret management, auditability) in partnership with Infrastructure/Security.
  • Establish release and change controls for integration components (versioning, CI/CD, environment management) with appropriate approvals and documentation.
  • Define and track SLAs/SLOs for critical interfaces; implement observability to measure uptime, latency, and failure modes.
  • Coordinate with vendors and partners on interface specifications, testing, and operational support handoffs.
  • Identify high-value automation opportunities across business processes (e.g., exception handling, reconciliations, ticket triage, master data requests) and deliver agentic solutions.
  • Build and operate copilots/agents using Microsoft tools (e.g., Copilot Studio and/or Azure AI services) integrated with enterprise systems and governed data.
  • Implement guardrails: role-based access, prompt/data controls, human-in-the-loop approvals for sensitive actions, and audit logging.
  • Collaborate with business owners to define measurable outcomes for automations (cycle time reduction, error rate reduction, adoption).
  • Support M&A technology integration activities: rapid application/integration assessment, interface inventory, data mapping, and dependency analysis.
  • Develop integration and cutover plans (Day-1 connectivity, interim integrations, data migration coordination, stabilization/hypercare).
  • Execute integration workstreams and coordinate with cross-functional teams to minimize operational disruption while accelerating time-to-value.
  • Contribute to reusable M&A playbooks and standard integration patterns to scale repeatability across acquisitions and carve-ins/outs.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Village Farms International, Inc. from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
