About The Position

Alfa Insurance is offering a structured and formal internship experience for students to immerse themselves in the company culture, gain insight into the insurance industry, and explore various career opportunities within an insurance company. The program focuses on creating a learning atmosphere that offers interns exposure to various departments and the opportunity to collaborate with mentors. Interns participate in engaging workshops called "Midweek Mixers" and are given the opportunity to explore all departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of how an insurance company operates cohesively. This internship allows students to explore the full spectrum of tech and business operations in a dynamic, hands-on environment. Technology majors will be selected in one of five key areas: Software Development, Help Desk & IT Support, Information Security, Project Management, or Business Analysis. Alfa's internship program is nationally ranked, recognized by Vault in 2025 as the #1 Internship for Women and #2 Internship for Insurance. Interns are treated as valued members of the team, taking on meaningful projects and collaborating closely with experienced mentors. They also participate in a special session of the award-winning Leadership Academy and receive career guidance, including resume improvement and mock interviews.

Requirements

• Rising Junior or Senior in a 4-year university
• Technology Major
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Eagerness to grow, make an impact, and uphold Alfa's Core 4 Values of faith, family, community, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Explore all departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of how an insurance company operates cohesively.
