About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Technology Financial Portfolio Management Lead for a 6-month contract position with a Large Energy Company in Dallas, TX. This role leads Technology Financial Portfolio Management services across the organization, overseeing financial planning, forecasting, investment management, governance, and financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial transparency, funding alignment, compliance, and informed investment decisions that support the organization's strategic and operational objectives. This is a hybrid position with an in-office requirement of 3-4 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 8 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, or investment management
  • 3 years of people leadership experience
  • Experience managing CapEx, OpEx, investment portfolios, and long-range financial plans
  • Experience supporting audits, SOX controls, financial governance, and compliance activities
  • Experience presenting financial information to senior leadership and executives

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or other relevant financial certification
  • Understanding of utility accounting, capitalization policies, CWIP management, depreciation, and asset lifecycle management
  • Experience supporting technology organizations, technology investments, or project portfolios
  • Knowledge of demand planning, portfolio planning, and investment prioritization processes
  • Strong financial modeling, analytics, and reporting capabilities
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into executive-level insights and recommendations
  • Experience with ERP, financial planning, portfolio management, and reporting tools
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to lead process improvements and establish scalable financial controls

Responsibilities

  • Lead Technology CapEx, OpEx, and System Resiliency Plan (SRP) financial management activities
  • Oversee annual budgets, monthly forecasts, long-range planning, and financial reporting
  • Establish financial governance, controls, processes, and performance measures
  • Partner with Technology leadership, AIS, Accounting, Finance, Strategy, and Portfolio Management teams
  • Oversee CWIP management, asset capitalization, project placements in service, and asset retirements
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, capitalization policies, SOX controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead and develop Financial Portfolio Management Leads and Financial Services Analysts
  • Manage deliverables such as annual budgets, five-year financial plans, executive dashboards, and investment analysis
