About The Position

Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo’s more than 70 million global customers. Wells Fargo Bank N.A. seeks a Technology Director in Iselin, New Jersey. This role involves developing the strategic vision for O365/SaaS, voice and multi-media engineering in partnership with architecture and support services, including the definition of services, technologies, vendors, and security. The position leverages Agile practices, product management disciplines, and SRE practices to ensure cost-effective, scalable, and secure solutions. The Technology Director will lead the team supporting O365/SaaS, voice, and multi-media engineering deployment, managing migrations, and the delivery and roll-out of upgraded Microsoft and other collaboration products. This includes product decisions, design, migration, policy configurations, client information systems operations, maintenance, incident response, security evaluation, automation, network administration, and system engineering. The role also involves providing guidance, coaching, and performance management to employees, guiding and collaborating with executive leadership, and providing day-to-day guidance and problem resolution with Technology and Technology Infrastructure leadership. Developing a healthy, diverse team, mentoring engineers, and acting as a role model for service quality and data-driven decision making are key aspects. The position requires anticipating, identifying, assessing, tracking, and mitigating technology risks and issues, and preparing for internal and external audits. Remote/telecommute work is available up to 2 days per week, but the position requires appearing in person at the work address. Travel is not required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving technology strategic leadership experience.
  • 6 years of experience building and leading next generation end user computing programs on a broad scale in a financial services environment.
  • 6 years of experience transforming business and IT processes aligning them with digital/AI technology capabilities.
  • 6 years of experience in modern endpoint technologies such as O365, Mobile and other voice, SCCM, Apple, Android, cloud, Intune, Azure, identity and access management, end user device security, Windows 10, Windows Virtual Desktop (DaaS), multi-media, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
  • 4 years of management experience.
  • 3 years of experience developing generative AI programs in Microsoft environments.
  • 3 years of experience developing integrated data analytics and AI platforms.
  • Experience with Agile processes and cloud service development.
  • Experience with product roadmap planning, prioritization with product management.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a healthy, diverse team and mentor great engineers and be a great role model of a service quality first and data-driven decision making.
  • Anticipate, identify, assess, track, and mitigate technology risks and issues.
