Tyson FoodsSpringdale, AR

About The Position

Tyson Foods is seeking a strategic, delivery-focused Director to lead enterprise AI adoption, enablement, and value measurement across the Company's business units and enablement functions. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this role serves as the primary bridge between technology and business, translating Tyson's AI and digital strategy into adopted, value-generating solutions. The role will partner with business unit presidents, functional leaders, and enablement teams (F&A, HR, Law, Compliance, Cybersecurity, Data. Etc.) to identify high-value use cases, drive organizational change and adoption, and establish the frameworks needed to measure and report business impact. This is an end-to-end, delivery-oriented role with significant visibility across the organization. Success is measured not by deployment alone, but by sustained adoption and demonstrated financial and operational value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in technology or transformation leadership roles, including at least 5 years in a management position.
  • Proven track record developing and implementing successful technology strategies, particularly in AI and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies and their application to business processes and consumer or customer experience.
  • Demonstrated experience assessing and managing technology debt, including strategic decision-making for modernization efforts.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing value management or PMO methodologies to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrated success leading program or portfolio delivery — managing scope, budget, timeline, and risk across cross-functional teams using structured PMO and/or Agile practices — to deliver measurable business value.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business plans.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including the C-suite.
  • Experience managing large teams and cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Tyson’s AI adoption strategy aligned with enterprise business priorities, in partnership with the CTO and business unit leadership.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify, prioritize, and scale high-value AI use cases across business units and functions.
  • Build AI roadmaps directly tied to measurable business outcomes, and act as the connective bridge between technology teams and business stakeholders.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of the digital and AI portfolio — managing scope, timeline, budget, dependencies, and risk across cross-functional teams.
  • Apply consistent PMO and Agile delivery practices to move solutions from concept to production.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business and enablement functions, translating priorities into a roadmap of digital and AI solutions and co-owning delivery outcomes.
  • Facilitate use-case discovery workshops to surface opportunities and help leaders redesign work processes around AI capabilities.
  • Scale successful pilots into enterprise-wide programs, and communicate progress, risks, and realized value to C-suite executives and key stakeholders.
  • Drive enterprise-wide AI literacy and adoption programs, including communications, training, and change management efforts.
  • Remove organizational barriers to AI adoption and embed new ways of working so that deployed solutions are used, sustained, and continuously improved.
  • Build and support a network of AI champions and communities of practice across business units.
  • Establish and maintain frameworks for measuring AI ROI, including standard KPIs for productivity, cost savings, revenue growth, quality, and risk reduction.
  • Track use-case performance through deployment and enhancement, ensuring solutions produce measurable outcomes — not just successful deployment.
  • Report value realization to executives and governance committees.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, HR, and Data teams to ensure AI initiatives align with Company policy and responsible AI principles.
  • Support governance forums and investment reviews and manage AI portfolio visibility and prioritization.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation by promoting adoption of new technologies and encouraging creative, end-to-end problem-solving across the organization.
