About The Position

The Cigna Group’s Technology Development Program (TECDP) Cybersecurity Summer Internship is a 12-week program for students interested in technology and healthcare. Interns work on impactful technology projects and receive comprehensive training and mentorship. Interns work across technical and investigative cybersecurity teams, contributing to threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and risk mitigation to help protect sensitive health data and critical infrastructure. Work may include analyzing suspicious activity in a Security Operations Center (SOC), conducting forensic investigations, or engineering secure systems. The program includes structured core and track-specific learning, technical training, leadership development, and exposure to the business. Interns also collaborate with peers, mentors, and cross-functional partners and participate in networking, mentorship, and community-building activities. The role follows a hybrid schedule: onsite at least three days each week—Tuesday, Wednesday, and one additional day chosen by the employee—with the remaining days available for remote work. Interns must be available for a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, beginning May 24, 2027. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. Selected candidates must complete mandatory pre-employment tasks approximately 45 days before the program starts, including a drug test requiring availability within the United States during that period.
