About The Position

Protiviti is looking for a Technology Audit & Advisory Senior Consultant to join their growing team. As a Senior Consultant, you will mentor, train, and coach Interns and Consultants, facilitating the successful completion of project work plans. You will identify areas of risk and opportunities to increase efficiency, and strengthen relationships by communicating, gaining trust, and networking with client personnel and professional associates. At the direction of Managers, you may accept responsibility for decision-making in areas including establishing project scope and work plans, project staffing, preparation of deliverables, and application of methodologies. Protiviti's Technology Audit & Advisory team focuses on helping clients manage risks associated with technology, protecting and enhancing enterprise value. They focus on innovation by identifying solutions to client problems related to technology, helping them rethink how technology processes are managed by incorporating AI and automation. They also focus on technology enablement by incorporating analytics, AI, automation, and other new tools and methods in the execution of audit work for clients, enabling a deeper, broader, more efficient, and more insightful analysis of clients’ technology risks. The team supports a broad set of potential certifications and related trainings for its team, equipping the technology audit organization to stay at the forefront of emerging risks and trends. Consultants in Technology Audit & Advisory work with clients to assess, identify risk, advise, and consult on different technology-related topics, including Cybersecurity, Cloud Assurance, Project Risk Advisory, Technology Risk Management and Assessment, IT General Controls (ITGC), AI and Data Governance, Data Privacy, Technology Regulations, Enterprise Applications, Technology Resilience, IT Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance, Emerging Technologies, 2nd Line Controls, Governance, and Technology Enablement.

Requirements

  • Experience with or understanding of IT audit methodologies and developing necessary audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
  • Understanding of commonly used internal control frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL, etc.
  • Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance, in particular the technology implications and requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field).
  • 2+ years working in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related field, either in professional services or industry.

  • Exposure to and/or interest in analytics and technology enablement (automation, AI/ML etc.).
  • Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions.
  • Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, identify risk, advise, and consult on different technology-related topics.
  • Evaluate, summarize, organize, and interpret data.
  • Establish and cultivate business relationships and a professional network.
  • Translate and communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel, including executives.
  • Perform documentation of findings and summarize recommendations.
  • Supervise teams including mentoring, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate.
