About The Position

Protiviti is seeking a Technology Audit & Advisory Manager to join its expanding Financial Services team. The Financial Services practice is a recognized leader in consulting services for financial institutions, focusing on risk sensitivity, regulatory compliance, control, and technology enablement. As a Manager, you will collaborate with clients to address complex business challenges, deliver impactful solutions, and build strong client relationships. You will also mentor and coach junior team members, foster a professional network, and represent Protiviti in the market. This role involves working with highly regulated clients in the financial services industry, deepening your expertise in relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field).
  • 5+ years working in technology audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related field, either in professional services or within the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with IT audit methodologies and developing necessary audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
  • Demonstrated experience with commonly used internal control frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance, in particular the technology implications and requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial services industry regulations and hands-on industry knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions a plus.
  • Leadership and direct supervisory experience of teams including conducting performance appraisals, mentoring and coaching, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients to solve complex business problems and provide impactful advice and solutions.
  • Develop lasting relationships with client personnel through quality product delivery.
  • Foster a network within the business community and serve as an ambassador of Protiviti.
  • Mentor, train, and coach Consultants and Senior Consultants.
  • Facilitate the successful completion of project work plans.
  • Focus on clients and engagements in the financial services industry.
  • Help clients manage risks associated with technology use, protecting and enhancing enterprise value.
  • Identify solutions to client problems related to technology, rethinking technology process management with AI and automation.
  • Incorporate analytics, AI, automation, and new tools in audit work execution for deeper, broader, more efficient, and insightful analysis of technology risks.
  • Assess, identify risk, advise, and consult on technology-related topics including Cybersecurity, Cloud Assurance, Project Risk Advisory, Technology Risk Management and Assessment, IT General Controls (ITGC), AI and Data Governance, Data Privacy, Technology Regulations, Enterprise Applications, Technology Resilience, IT Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance, Emerging Technologies, 2nd Line Controls Governance, and Technology Enablement.
  • Identify areas of business and technology risk, and opportunities to improve efficiency, increase performance, and help clients better utilize technologies.
  • Build relationships with clients and provide exceptional experiences.
  • Manage projects and lead teams.
  • Promote a positive team culture that fosters open communication.
  • Create development opportunities for others, including participating in training creation and rollout.
  • Participate in the preparation of client proposals and strategies to win new business.
  • Work with a diverse portfolio of clients across the financial services industry.
  • Leverage AI to enhance personal productivity as well as internal audit and SOX activities, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
  • Develop IT audit methodologies and necessary audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
  • Evaluate, summarize, organize, and interpret data.
  • Establish and cultivate business relationships and a professional network, including with senior executives.
  • Translate and communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel, including executives.
  • Provide leadership and direct supervisory experience of teams, including conducting performance appraisals, mentoring and coaching, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate.
