Technology & AI Strategy Lead

AXIS•Alpharetta, NY

About The Position

The Technology & AI Strategy Lead shapes, maintains, and drives execution of AXIS Capital’s enterprise technology and AI agenda in partnership with business, technology, data, risk, and functional leaders. The role owns the integrated strategic agenda, enterprise-level recommendations, strategic coherence, value framework, and executive decision support. It does not own delivery of individual products or programs; those remain with the relevant business and technology owners, while business leaders are accountable for outcomes, adoption, and benefit realization. The position provides independent analysis, subject matter expertise, and strategic recommendations to help leadership evaluate technology and AI opportunities, risks, and trade-offs. The role supports AXIS’s multi-year transformation by identifying ways technology and AI can improve operational effectiveness, support business growth, and enhance customer outcomes. It contributes to strategy development, roadmap planning, prioritization, investment discussions, value measurement, and adoption efforts. The position works across a matrixed organization, advising stakeholders and translating complex technology concepts into practical business implications and measurable outcomes. It operates within enterprise governance frameworks and works independently on complex assignments involving business, technology, operational, and risk considerations. The planning horizon is primarily annual and aligned with strategic planning and investment cycles. The role requires close partnership with business, technology, transformation, risk, and functional teams, and regular participation in planning sessions, strategy reviews, governance forums, and leadership communications. AXIS currently expects to offer a base salary of $250,000 to $275,000 in New York, with the offer based on factors including experience and work location. The role is also eligible for target incentive compensation based on corporate and individual performance and a competitive benefits package.
