About The Position

The Technology Account Advisor is responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with a portfolio of healthcare clients, ensuring each client’s technology strategy is aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards. This role provides strategic account management through performance reporting, technology and project planning, budgeting support, and ongoing strategic guidance. Technology Account Advisors develop a deep understanding of how each client leverages technology to support day-to-day operations, long-term growth, and risk management. The Technology Account Advisor operates as a strategic advisor and coordination point between the client, internal service delivery teams, and organizational leadership, while coordinating as needed with internal support functions such as Accounting. Success in this role depends on strong cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless execution, consistent communication, reduced escalations, and a high-quality client experience. This position is not a primary ticket owner, project engineer, or quota-carrying sales role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing IT client relationships within an MSP, healthcare IT, or similar services-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare IT environments and regulatory considerations (HIPAA, security best practices).
  • Demonstrated experience leading executive-level conversations, QBRs, and strategic planning discussions.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value and recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive and board-level presentation capability.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under non-negotiable deadlines.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and dependability.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Ambulatory Surgical Centers or similar healthcare organizations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, cloud infrastructure, security, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience collaborating with Project Engineers, Solutions Architects, and Service Delivery leadership.
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year IT planning.
  • Fundamental training or certifications in related technologies and skills such as Microsoft 365, Meraki, healthcare IT systems, executive presence, emotional intelligence, and executive-level reporting and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the primary strategic relationship for assigned healthcare clients, building trust through regular calls, onsite visits, and executive-level engagement.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business operations, priorities, risks, and technology dependencies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, aligning technology decisions to business outcomes, compliance requirements, and lifecycle best practices.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for client concerns, coordinating resolution across internal delivery teams.
  • Create, maintain, and present 3–5 year technology roadmaps aligned to client business goals, regulatory needs, and organizational standards.
  • Develop accurate budgetary estimates for roadmap initiatives, refresh cycles, licensing, and professional services.
  • Proactively adjust roadmaps based on changes in client priorities, risk posture, or technology direction.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with client executive and operational stakeholders.
  • Present roadmap progress, completed initiatives, service performance trends, risks, and upcoming recommendations.
  • Deliver board-level presentations that clearly communicate strategy, financial planning, and measurable outcomes.
  • Create, track, and follow up on action items derived from QBRs, coordinating with appropriate teams to ensure timely completion.
  • Review and deliver monthly and quarterly reporting, including executive summaries, KPIs, account health indicators, and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor trends in support, projects, and escalations; proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Provide structured feedback to internal leadership regarding service delivery quality and improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate monthly billing cycle communications and coordinate billing questions or disputes with clients and internal finance teams to improve invoice clarity and alignment.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities within existing accounts based on roadmap gaps, lifecycle needs, and evolving business requirements.
  • Partner with Project Engineers to perform opportunity assessments and develop supporting proposals.
  • Scope and quote standard roadmap initiatives; collaborate on complex initiatives to ensure accuracy, completeness, and feasibility.
  • Support contract finalization and handoff in coordination with Sales and leadership; this role does not carry an individual sales quota.
  • Lead formal due diligence technology assessment efforts when required by performing the majority of data collection, analysis, and documentation, while leveraging Project Engineers for advanced technical validation and complex engineering considerations in support of due diligence documentation, proposal development, and project recommendations.
  • Participate in client onboarding to establish credibility, reinforce expectations, and ensure early strategic alignment.
  • Collaborate closely with Support, Project Engineers, Security, and Service Delivery teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of SOPs, documentation standards, and cross-team processes.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, vendors, and healthcare IT trends.
  • Build knowledge of industry-specific technologies relevant to assigned customer verticals.
  • Ensure ongoing alignment between client environments, organizational standards, and industry best practices.
