About The Position

The position of Technologist is primarily focused on the planning and execution of simple to complex engineering/technical projects in support of performance of testing evaluation of the RCN’s equipment and the Maintenance of NETE LaSalle Permanent Test Facilities. The work duties may also involve mentoring more junior members of the team.

Requirements

• Electro Mechanic Diploma of vocational studies or higher.
• Experience in Test Cell Environment.
• Experience with electro-mechanic maintenance activities in industrial equipment.
• Experience with Canadian Navy equipment, installation, set to work, operations.
• Eligible to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance (requires Canadian citizenship and 10 years of residence in Canada).
• Under the COVID-19 vaccination policy, new employees are required to be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment, unless accommodated due to certified medical contraindications, religion, or other prohibited grounds under the Canadian Human Rights Act.

Responsibilities

• Conduct qualification tests in the permanent test facilities located in NETE LaSalle.
• Provide guidance to conduct the Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on the permanent test facilities located in NETE LaSalle.
• Create Test Instructions and Final Test Reports for the equipment under test.
• Support task leaders in coordinating the activities required to conduct qualification testing.
