About The Position

Located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, California, this role performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative at a technical level that does not require constant supervision. The position reports to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging. The medical center is part of a 238-bed community hospital network and employs more than 1,250 healthcare workers.

Requirements

Current certification by the California Department of Health Services (CRT) is required.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification must be obtained within six months of the start date and maintained thereafter.
Current BLS (CPR) certificate is required.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience in CT/MRI procedures is preferred.
Advanced Registry in Computed Tomography (CT) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform MRI and CT procedures skillfully and without supervision.
Keep the assigned room clean and well stocked with supplies.
Rotate on call as necessary to ensure complete department coverage.
Chart all exams in the patient's permanent medical record.
Complete mandatory continuing education.
Meet standards of care for patients from infancy through geriatric age.
Identify and plan appropriate safety precautions to prevent injury across patient age groups.
Assess patients of various ages, considering their physiological and anatomical needs.
Obtain and administer contrast and medications within the scope of practice established by licensure.
Maintain a high degree of professional ethics and conduct.
