About The Position

The George H.W. Bush Combat Development Complex (BCDC) and The Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) invite applications for a full-time Technologist. The Technologist (Test Systems Engineer) works under the general supervision of the Director of Testing for the Innovation Proving Ground (IPG) and supports the operation of IPG range instrumentation, communications, and data acquisition systems as well as the emplacement of targets, obstacles, and structures to create realistic applied research and testing environments. Under general supervision, the Technologist II uses principles and theories of engineering, math and science to solve technical problems within discipline(s) in support of engineering and engineering research. Project assignments require initiative and independent judgment; much of the work will be outside on the BCDC test range facilities. The BCDC - located on the 2,000-acre RELLIS Campus in Bryan, TX - is an ecosystem for agile technology development and service-member-inspired research. The BCDC is the result of a partnership between the U.S. Army Futures Command, The Texas A&M University System, and the State of Texas. The $200 million complex is designed to bring together researchers from U.S. universities, the military and the private sector for collaboration, demonstrations, and high-tech testing of initiatives to help accelerate military innovation for our nation's defense.
