About The Position

Responsible for the accumulation, analysis, development, and application of data required for the design and structural analysis of components or related parts/materials. This role involves performing sophisticated calculations and work for the design and structural analysis of nuclear components and related parts, materials, and equipment. The position requires preparing and reviewing reports for conformance to contractual specifications, maintaining a working knowledge of applicable code requirements and regulatory guides, and updating standards for nuclear components and related equipment. Additionally, the role may involve performing calculations and analyses for the development of new component designs, methods, and procedures, and preparing formal reports and studies for internal and customer presentations.

Requirements

  • B.S. or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eight (8) years related experience.
  • Experience in technical industrial environments is required.
  • Complete assignments in accordance with engineering procedures, practices and standards, and good work practices.
  • All candidates must be U.S. citizens.
  • Selected applicants are required to successfully complete a pre-employment check and drug screening.
  • The position may require the ability to obtain and maintain applicable federal eligibility requirements for access to classified/sensitive information or matter which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation, drug test, previous employment, and reference verifications.

Responsibilities

  • Performs the more sophisticated calculations and work required for the design and structural analysis of nuclear components and related parts, materials, and equipment.
  • Prepares and reviews reports and evaluates content for conformance to the requirements of CMC-49 and other contractual specifications.
  • Maintains a general working knowledge of applicable code requirements and other applicable regulatory guides and standards. Maintains an awareness of technical background for design criteria established by these documents.
  • Maintains and updates standards for nuclear components and related equipment.
  • May perform calculations and analyses in support of the development of new component designs, methods, and procedures.
  • Prepares formal reports and studies for presentation within the Company and to customers.
