About The Position

Rio Tinto is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a fixed-term contract, with the possibility of renewal based on operational needs, to support ongoing operations within a multidisciplinary team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to engineering projects by supporting access management, priority initiatives, and financial project closure in a high-demand operational environment. Reporting to the Service Manager – Project Services and working a day shift schedule, your main tasks will include creating and managing access requests for external firms, coordinating information flow between project teams, IT services, and external firms, assisting with user issues, creating and managing Cognibox access requests, performing various SAP operations related to projects, managing contract notifications and releases, contributing to project closure processes, and participating in the improvement of administrative and project support processes, as well as standardizing practices.

Requirements

  • DEC in Office Automation or Administration
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary and diverse teams
  • Ability to work in a support mode
  • Rigor, autonomy, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in finance
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of Office 365 suite tools and SAP

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage access requests for our external firms.
