About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of building systems, responding to tenant needs, and maintaining high standards of safety and functionality across our portfolio in East Montreal. Requirements

• Experience in building maintenance with demonstrated ability to work independently
• Strong sense of initiative and resourcefulness with proven ability to multitask and solve problems autonomously
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both oral and written
• Ability to work in a team with excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
• Physical capability to spend majority of time standing or walking with frequent movement and ability to lift and carry equipment and tools regularly
• Availability on rotation for evenings and weekends for emergency calls

Nice To Haves

• Diploma (DEP) or certification in general building maintenance
• Mechanical aptitude and technical skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite software
• Access to a personal vehicle for travel between portfolio properties (mileage reimbursed)

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper functioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and personal safety systems
• Respond to tenant service requests through the PRISME platform and execute general maintenance tasks as needed
• Monitor contracted work, report anomalies, and ensure compliance with building standards
• Conduct comprehensive building inspections (interior and exterior) and perform repairs including door hardware, plastering, painting, ceiling/floor tiles, and other base building maintenance
• Maintain order and cleanliness in maintenance areas and regularly inspect security systems (alarm systems, emergency lights, fire extinguishers, sprinklers)
• Manage key systems and access control systems while updating Risk Check and validating with the operations team
• Participate in operational and occupational health and safety (OHS) meetings, conduct OHS rounds, and implement necessary corrections
